Would you like to watch 10Play abroad? Are you wondering how you can stream 10Play (Network Ten) outside Australia?

Can you watch Tenplay on Windows, Mac, Apple devices, or Android?

Read on — because in 2026, it is still absolutely possible!

10Play (formerly often called Tenplay) is the official online streaming service from Network Ten. It is a brilliant platform that allows you to watch TV shows online after they have aired, along with live content, reality shows, sports highlights, and much more.

But there is one big problem…

Why 10Play Doesn’t Work Outside Australia

If you try to watch 10Play from abroad, you will usually run into an error message saying that the content is not available in your region.

That’s because Network Ten uses geo-blocking due to copyright and licensing restrictions. In practice, this means:

  • Only people located in Australia can stream 10Play
  • If you are abroad, the video may not start
  • You may get the “not available in your region” message

Here is what it often looks like:

Tenplay not available in your region

I am writing this article from central Europe, and when I first tried to watch Network Ten outside Australia, I only saw a black screen and nothing would load.

Not very cool — especially if you follow Australian shows and want to keep up while traveling or living abroad.

So what can you do?

Windows/Mac: Watch 10Play From Abroad in 2026

To get rid of the black screen and start watching your favorite shows, you need one thing:

An Australian IP address

You need an IP address in Australia because 10Play checks where you are located. If you appear to be outside Australia, it blocks the stream.

The easiest way to fix this in 2026 is by using a VPN.

NordVPN: The Best VPN Solution for 10Play

The best and most reliable solution I recommend for streaming 10Play abroad is NordVPN.

NordVPN is one of the strongest VPN providers in 2026, offering:

  • Fast servers in Australia
  • Excellent streaming performance
  • Easy-to-use apps for all devices
  • Strong privacy and security features

When I tested it, I was surprised by how smoothly it worked, even though I was very far away from Australia. No lag, no buffering, and the stream started immediately once connected.

Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Visit the NordVPN website
  2. Purchase a subscription
  3. Download the NordVPN app
  4. Connect to the fastest server in Australia
  5. Open 10Play and start streaming

It really takes only a few minutes.

NordVPN also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can try it without risk.

And once you have NordVPN, you can also use it to unblock other streaming platforms worldwide.

Android / Apple: Watch 10Play From Abroad

If you want to watch 10Play on your mobile device — whether you use iPhone, iPad, or Android — it can be done as well.

The method is exactly the same:

  • Install the 10Play app
  • Connect to Australia with NordVPN
  • Stream as if you were at home

Install the 10Play App Abroad

To watch 10Play on your phone or tablet, you first need the official application installed.

Android

On Android devices, you may need to download the app from an alternative store if it is not available in your region.

Once installed, you are halfway there.

iPhone / iPad

On Apple devices, things can be slightly more complicated.

The 10Play app may only appear in the Australian App Store, meaning you might need an Australian Apple ID to download it.

A common workaround is to create a new Apple ID registered with an Australian address, download the app, and then switch back to your normal account afterward.

Once the 10Play App Is Installed

Now that you have the 10Play app ready, the next step is simple:

Sign up for NordVPN and connect to an Australian server.

After signing up:

  1. Download the NordVPN app to your device
  2. Open it and connect to Australia
  3. Completely close the 10Play app
  4. Re-open it once NordVPN is active
  5. Start watching instantly

That’s it!

  1. Thanks a lot for the instructions! Just followed them, and now I am able to stream Tenplay in Hungary… Thanks again!

    1. Hey Jean,
based on your comment I gave it a try once more. I connected to Melbourne server with ExpressVPN, and at once I was able to stream Masterchef on TenPlay (and other programs). Give it a try once again! If you have further trouble, just write a new comment or contact that ExpressVPN customer service who are quick to help!

  2. Tested ExpressVPN to stream Tenplay and it worked. I connected to the Melbourne server like described in comment above, and I were able to watch my favourite shows.

  3. I want to stream Tenplay on my Android device, but can I use other VPN services like the Opera VPN, or is it just ExpressVPN that will work? Are you sure that it works on Android as well, not only in Windows?

    1. I do not know about other VPN providers working with Tenplay, so I would just use ExpressVPN. I just tested it on my Android device and it works, so that will save you a lot of time. If you try to start Tenplay on your Android without a VPN, or with a VPN not working, the video will start loading, and then it will just load and load and load forever, with nothing else happening (I tried that as well). Follow the instructions above, download the Tenplay app to your Android, and you can be ready to watch in a few minutes!

    1. Hello there,
just tried it with the Sydney server (not number 2). It was a bit slow, but worked. Give it a try, and you should also contact the ExpressVPN customer service, hopefully they will get hold of a new server in addition!!

  4. I just follow the instructions, and I had no trouble with this, and it wasn’t even slow. No buffering, nor anything else as I stream Tenplay!! SMILEY!

  5. Anyone trying this now turning my location to ‘Sydney’ works!!!
‘Melbourne’ and ‘Sydney 2’ didn’t work

    1. Thank you for the feedback, and glad to hear that you got it working! ENjoy watching Tenplay abroad!

  6. The Australian Survivor final is coming up tonight and I am ready. Just used ExpressVPN to watch the most recent Playing For Keeps episode, so I know for sure that it works. Thanks for the instructions!

  7. We have just updated the article and the website again. Not only have we checked that the described method which will help you watch Tenplay abroad still works, but we have also made the design brand new and even more Android and iOS friendly. We hope you will enjoy it!

  8. I have tested quite a lot of VPN providers, but glad to finally find information that is actually working! Finally I can stream my favorite 10Play content online outside Australia as well!

  9. I have read somewhere that all VPN providers are blocked after the website moved to 10play.com.au. Is that so? Or can ExpressVPN still be used to access 10Play abroad?

    1. Hi there Matt,
thanks for writing and asking. You just made me test once more to be sure, and ExpressVPN can still be used to stream 10Play abroad! Have a wonderful day!

  10. Hi Matt,
I am using private internet access and have used this successfully in the past abroad on my laptop. But this seems not to be working anymore. Any thoughts or ideas on this?

    1. They are blocking 99% of all VPN providers, so I guess that is what is going on with PiA as well. I suggest you follow the instructions here if you want to use a VPN service that actually works with Tenplay. Just tried it today as I watched My Life is Murder on Tenplay!

  11. Hi,

I have ExpressVPN and have used it in the past to watch Masterchef Australia but doesn’t seem to be working any longer. I tried multiple Australia locations, turned off my ad blockers and cleared cookies and cache. Still no luck. Any ideas?

  12. I know there has been some mess with Tenplay and VPN providers, but I actually managed to watch Tenplay in the USA today using ExpressVPN… (finally I could stream the latest episode of My Life is Murder)!

    1. Glad to hear that… just wanted to report that it still works brilliantly, so it is easy peasy to stream Tenplay with ExpressVPN as of November 28th as well!

  13. Just tested it again, and it works perfectly both with the 10Play live stream and with on-demand programs!

  14. Struggling to watch the new season of Bondi Rescue on network 10. Using express VPN but error message (MEDIA_ERR_SRC_NETWORK_ERROR) keeps appearing when I try to stream the video. Any advice? Is this the vpn not working or a problem with my computer?

    1. It seems to be true, having some trouble myself as well 🙂 Contact ExpessVPn support (I have also done so), and hopefully, they will have a fix ready within shortly. Also, the live streams work, so it is only the on-demand part that doesn’t work!

      1. As of 01:30 I.S.T. on Wed/Apr/8 (Tues night/Wed morning) the live streams are no longer working either.

Also note that “9Now” was working fine with ExpressVPN until today too but it has also started giving the “MEDIA_ERR_SRC_NETWORK_ERROR” or the “Geo-Restricted” error – – – its live streams are still working though (for now)

  15. I have just updated the article with up to date information, making sure that the guide will help you stream 10Play from abroad 🙂

  16. Thanks so much for the update..was using ExpressVPN and it stopped working.. so happy you found a solution 🥂

  17. Hey!

Thanks for such a cool page, super helpful and it was working for us until a few weeks ago.

Now when we go onto 10play (using NordVPN), when you click the play button on an episode it doesn’t work.

    Any advice?

    Thanks!!
