Oblivion is a post-apocalyptic science fiction movie that was released in 2013 and it was written, produced and directed by Joseph Kosinski. The whole movie is based on the unpublished fictional novel Oblivion by Kosinski.
The main characters of the movie are Tom Cruise as Commander Jack Harper who is a technician who fixes drones on Earth, Morgan Freeman as Malcolm Beech who is a resistant leader on Earth, Olga Kurylenko as Julia Rusakova Harper who is the wife of Jack and got rescued by Jack, Andrea Riseborough as Victoria “Vika” Olsen who is the lover and also the communication officer of Jack, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as Sergeant Sykes and Zoë Bell as Kara. The movie Oblivion shows the story of Jack Harper on the evacuated Earth. It is 2077 and Jack Harper and his lover and partner Victoria “Vika” Olsen are some of the few humans who still live on Earth. Harper and Olsen are placed at Tower 49 somewhere in the northeastern United States to protect a giant fusion protector which generates power for colonists on Titan. One day Harper saves the mysterious stranger Julia Rusakova Harper from a drawn spacecraft whoch changes his life forever.
The movie Oblivion received generally mixed feedbacks and reviews from the critics. The original story of the movie, the visual effects and acting were highly praised.
