Love Wedding Repeat is a brand new Netflix original movie that you can watch on Netflix all around the world. Well, I took my time to stream the movie on my favorite streaming service yesterday, and I actually had a great time.
Love Wedding Repeat is a mixture of an Italian-American production. The actors are mostly Italian, which means that there is a mixture of Italian and English language in the movie. Luckily, Netflix has subtitles and audio available in lots of languages, making it easy to watch and enjoy this movie, no matter where you might be in the world.
What is the movie all about?
Love Wedding Repeat tells the story of a boy who hasn’t got the best grip on his love life. He is kind of lame, and has trouble doing the right thing at the right time. So instead of kissing the love of his life, he leaves with a friend. They meet again at a wedding two years later, but has he got the balls to do the right thing this time?
At the same wedding there are lots of complications. The sister is getting married, but an uninvited guest shows up who claims to be in love with the sister, and he is quite sure about the fact that the sister is in love with him as well.
This movie is actually quite funny…
I miss those awesome comedies that will make you laugh your way through them. But, this is actually a quite decent try at making a romantic comedy. I laughed way more watching this movie than most other comedies I watch nowadays. The story isn’t really anything special, but still, it is amusing and some of the characters and events taking place should give you plenty of reasons to laugh and have a good time in front of your screen.
As we follow our group of people sitting by the same table in the wedding, it is packed with funny situations, good conversations, and solid jokes. As a result, I laughed a lot, and had a great time watching the movie.
It might not be a high-budget movie
There are clearly movies produced with way higher budget than this one. But, the story is still charming, and it has a very funny way of bringing the “repeat” injection to the movie. For a long time, I wondered what the connection is between the title and the movie itself, but in the end, all the pieces got to the right place.
All in all, Love Wedding Repeat, is a very nice and humorous movie on Netflix. It can be streamed everywhere, meaning that you don’t need access to US Netflix or any other Netflix region to watch it.
I can warmly recommend it to couples who want to get a good laugh and to those who want to just watch something harmless on TV, instead of reading and watching more news about the coronavirus.
