It is finally here, the Christmas season. All across Europe, the annual Christmas markets are about to open, and Christmas music is banging the loudspeaker in malls all across the world. But, what are you gonna watch on Netflix for Christmas in 2018?
I have just made some hours of research looking for the best Christmas movies on Netflix at the moment. I wrote a similar article a few years ago, but since then the information is out of date, and new movies have been made. Well, not really – the best Christmas movies are the classics, those that just stays eternal, and you know there is no Christmas without them.
Take a look at my video presentation of the best Christmas movies on Netflix in 2018 beneath, and keep on reading more about the content of the video under the video.
The big Christmas classics on Netflix
I am not sure if they knew as they created these movies, but The Holiday and Love Actually have become some of the most important Christmas classics on the market. People watch these movies over and over again, and they are both funny, romantic, and quite harmless. You can watch both these movies on Netflix in the UK, so head over to UK Netflix if you want to watch these.
If you are tired of all these romantic movies about Christmas, why not celebrate Christmas with John McClane as you watch Die Hard on Netflix? It might not be the favorite Christmas movie of the entire family, but the guys might easily prefer this to Love Actually or The Holiday.
Netflix produces new original Christmas content every year for Christmas. This year they have several movies, but they look quite bad, with the exception of the Christmas Calendar. That might actually be a movie with some real Christmas magic, so I might end up watching that during the holiday season in 2018. Since it is a Netflix original, you can watch it in all Netflix regions.
If you look for another Christmas movie to watch on Netflix in 2018, you could consider Loving the Coopers, Four Christmases, or A Christmas Carol. These are all family movies, but the latter is even suitable for kids above 10 years of age.
Last, but not least, let us not forget about Kevin who is left Home Alone for Christmas. This is absolutely a Christmas classic, and the younger generation loves to watch this movie.
