Have you been eager to spend your cryptocurrencies at Amazon.com for a long time? Are you tired of not being able to pay with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum or some other cryptocurrencies on Amazon.com, Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.it, or in some other Amazon store? The waiting is over!
Just recently I discovered the site named bitrefill.com. This is a site on which you can buy gift cards in more than 500 stores and other companies online, which can be used in their respective stores. For example, you can buy an Ebay gift card on Bitrefill which can be used to purchase products at Ebay in the USA. This requires you to live in the USA and to have an American Ebay account, but if that is something you have, you can easily spend your crypto-money to buy Ebay gift cards, which you later spend on Ebay.
In the same way, you can now buy Amazon gift cards on Bitrefill, which you then add to your Amazon account, which again can be used to purchase all the products you are interested in on Amazon.com, or in your own Amazon country.
It is important that you have to set the country on Bitrefill to the country in which you plan on buying the gift card. If you live in the USA and have an Amazon account on Amazon.com, make sure to select the USA as your country and buy an Amazon Gift Card by clicking the Amazon logo in the eCommerce menu option.
How to buy an Amazon Gift Card on BitRefill – Step by Step
The first thing you need to do is to visit BitRefill. It is recommended to create an account, so register with your email address and you are ready to go.
After selecting Amazon.com (or your local Amazon store), select the size of the Amazon Gift card that you would like to purchase!
Once you have decided which amount your Amazon Gift Card should have, you will be taken to the payment site. Here you can select payment using the Lightning Network, you can pay with instant confirmation from Coinbase, or you can do a normal transfer with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, Litecoin from your wallet to Bitrefill. The latter will take some more minutes, but it is still a fast and nice experience.
When the transfer has been made and the crypto-transfer has been confirmed, you will see a message like this on your screen, and you will also receive an email with the information about the Amazon Gift Card..
You can now copy the gift card code and go to your Amazon store where you redeem the gift card and you can use it during your next purchase already!
I have done it, and it is working perfectly. Isn’t this an awesome way of using your cryptocurrencies for buying Amazon products and more?
There are a couple of things you cannot buy with your Gift Card balance on Amazon. One such thing is the actual Amazon Prime subscription. You can only pay for this with a real payment card. Besides that, you can almost buy anything with your Gift Card balance, including an Amazon Kindle, TV-s, DVDs, clothes and so much more!
Are you ready to shop on Amazon with cryptocurrencies?
By now you should be ready to pay for your Amazon goods with cryptocurrencies. It isn’t a direct payment done with cryptocurrencies on Amazon, but instead, you purchase a gift card with cryptos on Bitrefill, and then head over to Amazon and add your gift card, and now you can use exactly the same amount of pay for whatever goods you want to purchase on Amazon. Isn’t that simply great?
Can I pay with other cryptocurrencies as well?
The main currencies supported on Bitrefill are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash, and you also have the chance to pay directly with Litecoin/Ethereum/Bitcoin stored on Coinbase. But, they also have support for LocalBitcoins, so if that should serve you better – feel free to use the latter as your payment method.
It is worth knowing that if you pay with a normal transfer from your Bitcoin wallet, Ethereum wallet, Litecoin wallet, Dash wallet, Dogecoin wallet and so on, there is a maximum waiting time of 15 minutes from the time you start the order until the funds need to be in place. In other words, be careful with your order if there is congestion on the network. But, the lightning network will help you get a faster transfer if that is needed. If you use the Ethereum network and you are worried, you can also use a higher GWEI to make sure that your transfer is taken care of as quickly as possible.
Again, I have tried it and I am really satisfied.
Do you have any experience paying for an Amazon Gift Card with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, or some other cryptocurrency? I would love to hear more about your experience!
