The Boys coming to Amazon Prime

One of the most anticipated shows on Amazon.com currently will get to the platform late in July 2019. The Boys is the name of the show, and here we will meet super-heroes not exactly like the ones we are used to meet.

There will be many highlights on Amazon Prime in July and you can see a video presenting many of them right here.

But, the biggest highlight for many is the new Amazon Original series named The Boys. This isn’t a story about the typical boy in the street. Instead, this is a TV series from Amazon in which we meet people with super-skills, but they lack the super-morale that we have seen in similar heroes before. Can you imagine what it would be like if Thor was only interested in his own selfish interests? Or what if Iron Man only used his mind and brilliancy to grow his own empire instead of saving the earth? Well, in The Boys, we meet similar heroes, but without the morale compass known from the super-heroes from Marvel and DC Comics we have learned to love so far.

Above you can see the second trailer of The Boys from YouTube. As you can see, here we have a mixture of action and drama, and some super-heroes I have a very hard time understanding currently. I guess it will all become clearer after watching a couple of episodes, but right now, I simply feel disorientated watching the trailer.

My thoughts about The Boys

I have a feeling that the super-heroes have got to be good in some kind of way. They are uniting forces (as we understand from the trailer), and the only way this show will be watchable is if they are following certain good principles and having good intentions. Who would ever want to watch a series in which the main characters use their skills only for evil? It would be devastating and ugly, so I guess they will have to make their heroes work together for good, no matter how rotten morale they have and how selfish they might be.

I don’t look especially much forward to this series, but I am still curious to find out what people think about it, and whether or not it will become a success or not.

Are you looking forward to The Boys? What do you think about the series based on the trailers? Are you satisfied or do you feel like someone is messing up with you? I find the trailers hard to grasp and understand, but I will still give the series a chance after its release on Amazon Prime in July!
